We have a very old pennine pullman, and we have noticed it has got some leaks, but there are no holes there. I can only assume that the canvas hasn't been waterproofed for awhile. Does anyone know how we go about getting the camper waterproofed? Any advise would be helpful

thanks

hi first things first make sure it needs it by wetting once let dry then wet again look for leaks.i know this sounds daft but canvas does not need to be waterproofed normally but if it has been done before then your have to reproof.then your need fabsil and i fined the best way to apply it is with one of those garden sprayers.best to do two or three light coats.oh and canvas has to be clean if you have to do this get a good canvas shampoo clean it then rinse well and when you think its well rinsed do it again!then let it dry before you apply the fabsil.

If you are going to use Thomsons Water Seal, you have to get the 'old formulae' the one for bricks and canvas. It must say canvas on the label. Thomsons  changed the formulae and stopped making the one for canvas, been posted before on this site.
