We managed to finally get our Fiesta awning up without too many sweary words, think the presence of our wee grand daughter had something to do with that! The problem is that the inner flaps blow upwards in the wind and at the moment they are tastefully decorated with shoes ,bags and anything else to stop them lifting.Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this? We laid a groundsheet but it just floated up too.
The groundsheet usually helps as it's fairly heavy, but like you ours is home to shoes and anything else that's heavy enough. You're on holiday so who cares if your awning looks a bit untidy? That's my attitude anyway lol
We have a breathable groundsheet, which is pretty heavy but usually decide which panel to have the entrance in and then put whatever, around the other 3 sides to help hold it down if you do not want to peg through the mudwalls.
HI, I also have a Pennine Folding Fiesta Camper and have no trouble with the groundsheet. I put the awning up first and peg down the white piece at the bottom of the sides and then place the groundsheet on top with no need for pegs on the groundsheet. This also stops rain from coming into the awning.
Thanks for all the suggestions. We tried a mixture of them and it seemed to work.We think we will probably try some more pegs in the groundsheet, maybe we were just unlucky with the wind on our first site. The dogs appreciated the draught free floor!
