We are considering buying a folding camper in the next couple of years. The question is do the aqua roll and waste hog fit inside the trailer when travelling or do you take these in your vehicle? Also, are they an essential? Sorry to seem thick but we camp in tents at present so don't need them
In the UK they have a certain convenience. You could use smaller waste containers but depending on use they would need to be emptied more frequently. There are alternative water containers but white poly ones will soon start to build up green algae. As to storage it depends on the layout of the caravan. When we had a 2 berth end bathroom we used to put the Aquaroll in our upturned step and put it in the bathroom. We now travel with both in the car, bit more difficult if you have children.
It would depend on the camper. We have both for our folding camper, a pennine pathfinder and they fit well in the main unit when folded. If you want to take advantage of sinks within your camper you will need both.
We carry the white & black containers in our Countryman, they fit in nicely at the cooker end but we're going to replace them with the aquaroll & wastehog. Its true the white one does get a build up of green algae - doesn't this happen in the aquaroll? We don't drink from it, just use it for rinsing tea cups out \& washing hands.
We have a Aqua roll for the clean water and a large black container for the waste. The Aqua roll fits just inside the door of our Pennine Fiesta and the black waste one on the top under the roof cover next to the step. No problems as long as you remember to empty them before travelling.
We have just got a Wastemaster and put it in the hole in the middle when the beds are folded up, just before we pull the transit cover over.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
My aquaroll fits into my Raclet Quickstop. We store it in are up-turned step to stop it rolling about. Are black waste water container travels on top off the kitchen.
We fit our water hog in the washroom .We used to fit our waste hog on the seats when folded but now carry it between the beds on the top as it saves time when setting up. I would advise getting as larger containers as possible so as to minimise the number of times you have to empty / refil.
Thanks for the answers every one. Glad there is room to put them for travelling. Now just need to save money and decide which one to potentially buy! I was worried we would have to make room in the boot for them and didn't think taking the tent, cooker stand and kitchen cupboard out would leave enough room.
Bob, I know what you mean about big containers. Last month we spent a week next to a caravan, 2 adults 1 toddler and he refilled aqua roll every day at least once if not twice and emptied wastehog every day. The problem was he made so much noise doing it early in the morning or totally blanked us if we were sat out side. Never saw them at shower block so guessed that's why they used so much water!
