Hi there - well just put up our conway classic tt that we brought last week and was really pleased with it. Just wondering though how the electric set up should be?
We had a long orange cable running round the outside of the tt to the electric hook up on the site but then noticed a electric hook up point on the trailer tent inside the awning are we meant to connect our electric to that inside and then a shorter cable from the rear of the trailer to the hook up connector on site? Hope this all makes sense.
or are you talking about the power point that the kitchen electrics plug into when traveling? there is a powerpoint on the base of the trailer into the awning but it is for running the lights on the kitchen unit.
we have an electric hookup point nearer to the A Frame it is blue, and this powers 3pin sockets within the trailer

thats the way i installed electric into our TT ,a trip box with one trip supplying 2 240v sockets and an outlet that lets me connect a EHU with the 3 trips on board to go to the awning. We did it this way so we didnt have to remove the supply post connector from the EHU so we could use it in our other tent. the other supplies a zig which in turn supplies a few 12v sockets and has the charging facility for a battery if we should ever get a pitch with no leccy.
we simply plug the TT trailer in using a caravan hook up lead then we plug the EHU into the outlet and the awning gets its share ,we wished we could have 3 trips in the on board trip box but theres only room for 2 so the sockets and outlet share one
not a difficult job doing the wiring but getting the other bits cheap is the hard part ,we got the trip box for a quid (seller didnt know what it was) its the correct version with the closing lid seen in most caravans! that supplied the sockets we did then just run a 3 socket & trip extension to the awning by putting an ordinary 3 pin plug on it.
we then stumbled over a zig CF8 a month later for £3 and installed that .
we then took our other tent then realised we couldn't plug the EHU in so we wasted money buying another connector to put on as the original was at home in the shed
we then bought a "garage" type connector from ebay to fit in the TT so we didnt have to keep changing ends ,works fine the internal 240v sockets only get used for the telly and a phone charger so the wiring isnt under any stress with the EHU plugged in as well.
Hi, we have recently bought a Triango, not sure of the comparison, but we also have a socket on the underside of the unit where the round three pin cable from site goes, over the top of this under the seat is a trip unit. We then have 4 stadard household outlets inside the trailer, 2 of which are at the rear, so when the kitchen is removed we can put an extension in and run electric to the awning area.
