Not wanting to be facetious but what's the point of a lock on the door when the top half of a camper is zipped and easily opened!!

Sorry Sue........not very helpful, am I?

I came into this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

As long as it fastens and doesn't swing open then there is no need to lock it - we used to lock our Fiesta door - ha ha -  I worried far too much about that camper.

Our 93 pullman has no keys,it's an old grey lock, one time you could buy a new barrel lock with keys, but I looked and couldn't find any. I only wanted a lock for when we stopped at a service station and when traveling. what I did was remove the barrel from the lock, you'll see a lot of brass inserts, take all these out, replace the barrel in the lock, now find a spare key as thick as will go into the keyhole and you'll find you can still lock and unlock the door. dose the job for me Jock

I managed to get a replacement lock for the door of my Cardinal Clubman from a local caravan dealer - they do come in 2 lengths if I remember rightly so you have to get the right one.

There was a bit more point in locking the hard top, particularly when towing, but I do tend to lock the door on the current Pathfinder.

A google search throws up a lot of sources including...
