Hi To all,

I'm a very new purchaser of a Jamet Arizona 7/8 Berth trailer tent, first outing to be arranged but i am looking forward to going for it. i have always been a Keycamp Van man or chalet man up till now but my Mrs grew up caravanning and camping and has convinced me the kids will love it (and i wil grow to too....).

Would love to hear from people who own or have owned one of these who would be willing to give me their feelings on the Arizona.....

Reliability, ease of towing, ease of assembling/disassembling, space, inside comfort, and anything else you may like to add or recommend.

Any advice on assembling, diagrams, photos or experiences would be greatly appreciated. My email is jasonchoules at aol.com in case any of you would like to email me any of the above.

looking forward to becoming an avid Camper and contributing to the forums myself.

Thanks.

Hi Choulesy - you know need to put your credit card away in a safe place and forget where you have put it. I can guarantee by the end of next month you will have bought a vast selection of items that you never even new existed.

Don't know anything about the Arizona - I'm sure someone will be along later but I can recommend tt and fc camping and would like to say welcome to the forum

I had to convince my OH that he would enjoy camping, and he's a total convert, especially since we made the move to a trailer tent!  He resisted for ages because he was worried about towing, but he says he doesn't even know its there, and the extra comfort is great.

We have a different Jamet, and apart from some minor kitchen niggles are very happy with it.  So congratulations on your purchase, and have fun!

All the best,
Alison

hi i have had an arizona since 2001 and its brill we love the space and relative ease of erecting it we also have a 1 metre extension that slots on between the main trailer and the canvas making , as one blunt camp siteowner once stated " a large barn" lol. it tows like a dream we have a 1.9 tdi galaxy though we have towed it with a 2 ltr petrol galaxy and an old renault espace. we take a full size fridege and a small oven with us and have all the comforts of home.  love the massive store space under the seats. we particularly like the fact that it is a braked unit so you can stop quickly if you need to. bought a roof rack for the tent few years ago that does make a difference as well. we have a large box on the front a frame brill thing that.

jase what instructionsa re you after?  been thinking on some of our issues . we at first coded all the poles but you get boggle eyed so heres what we did in the end and boy it works well. the poles should be in 2 bags.we divided the tent in half. we put all the poles from the roof and the kitchen side of the tent in one bag. and the other side and the front section in the other bag. works a treat as really the only two poles that you should not mix up are the two that have the roof/floor fittings at teh same junction otherwise the rest is self explanitary. i do have aschematic diagram giving pole sizes and layout. but there were no specific erection instructions when we got ours new. the only thing you need to watch out for is unclip the centre roof elastics before you collapse the main tent and stack the put the unzipped cushions on the correct side lol. after 8 years we still have to look at it to remember which side to fold dowm first.

Hi

Cheers for the tips. We can't wait for our first outing. We've bought so much stuff to go with the tent lol.

I think it's going to be a trial and error first outing and like you just make notes and mark poles as we go along.

I'll let you know how it goes! Be ready for help me emails!!! ;-).

Jase.

Hi all. I have just purchased a Jamet Arizona trailer tent. Unfortunately there are no instructions on how to put it up. Can anyone steer me in the right direction please. I have tried all the usual Google searches but to no avail.
Just a little confused about all the poles used for the awning.
Any help would be very useful.
Thanks.
