Hi all,

We're newbies to the forum and have just today picked up our "new" 1990 Pennine Pullman :)

The inner tents (roof lining and sleeping inners) all have some quite bad marks on them and I wonder if it's still possible to buy replacements?

If not, any ideas on how to get some mildew marks and staining out of them please - Tried vinegar, vanish and washing them but they are pretty tough!

Any advice would be much appreciated

Thanks so much

I have read other posts advising the use of Milton and then washing. But they are not too difficult to make and you have the old ones for pattern. Know anyone with a sewing machine?  Other than that scan fleabay? a couple of sets have gone through there in the past few months.      Good luck      Jon

PS welcome to the site, and have a look at  www.thepennineownersclub.org

Hi!

I have a Pennine Sterling (1998) which had an inner tent missing when purchased.

This company have various stock or will make you a new one which they will basically copy from the old one: www.tentvaletingservices.co.uk

Hope this helps!

Quick update, I had a look through some old forum posts and saw that someone had used dettol mildew remover on their tent inners and then washed them through and RESULT!

All traces of mildew have gone, they air dried yesterday in our short lived day of sunshine and look fab and smell v clean!

I was a little sceptical at first as it doesn't say it's suitable for textiles but it has certainly worked for our little problem

This is such a great site, feel much more confident with our new camper already :)
