We have recently acquired a Conway Voyager TT having previously been tent campers, and we have a question about using the TT on wet ground. Will the trailer wheels sink into the ground if it is soft and does this cause any problems? I suppose what I am really asking is do we need to put something under the wheels (other than the chocks to stop it moving)?

its always advisabe to take some sort of square plates to help evenly spread the load. my dad made me a square plate from wood (and treated cus of the water) and he made small lips on there so it could be chocked while sitting on there.
the larger surface helps spread the load evenly. some might disagree but it helps me and i got a conway contiki so not 100% sure if its the same with all trailer tents!

you can put something under wheels but more important are the stedies and legs for the bed.just some 12inch bits of ply are good for both also have read before on here that someone screws jam jar lids to ply to keep them in place.

Many TTs have wider wheels to spread the weight and prevent sinking. I also use those plastic feet attached to the steadies to stop them sinking into the ground. That's always been enough even on very wet ground.

I've never had any trouble with the trailer wheels on my Conway Camargue sinking. However the steady and bed legs can sink into soft ground so I take square plates of wood to put under these, about 6" x6". If you screw a jam jar lid to each of the four bed steady ones this will stop the bed leg skittering off.

Thanks folks - I'll get the OH on this straight away. The way the rain is coming down at the moment I think we'll need something to keep the feet out of the mud.
