Hi all

Ive been a lurker and reading up on here for a while now and having finally brought a second hand Sunncamp 400SE I thought Id join up and ask for some advice.

Our main problem is the awning, the weather hasnt been good so we have laid out the poles, looked at the instructions and the great simplified awning plan on here and tried to make sense of it all but we are failing miserably. Some poles have numbers on and some dont, some have coloured tape (added by the previous owner) but they dont seem to help either.

Our plan is to work out if they are all there and start again with engraving each pole or putting new tape and numbers in place.Does anyone have or know where I can get just a basic parts list of pole numbers?  I have really tried to do this from the awning plan but because we have never put it up, we are really struggling.

Sorry for rambling on but desperation is kicking in now and we truly would appreciate any help/advice with this.

We have been through this when we brought our sunncamp 350SE somne years ago and on our first ever night on site was still pegging out the awning after dark and after much stress & a little pain from dropping steel poles on eachothers heads etc. If you already have the pole plan I suspect thats as much as your going to find Do you have a reasonably local TT supplier who can help. Our local has some TTs erected on display so that could help

Also have you spoken to Sunncamp? They faxed me an awning pole plan that was quite detailed.We used to zip on the awning & using a short step up pile the awning canvas on top of the main unit then attach the poles with the hook ends to the main unit & build the frame out from there then simply pull over the awning canvas stretch the poles & peg out. Simple ( I jest!!)

Well, with all your help and advise from the forum, we finally managed to get somewhere last night. We laid the awning out in the garden, remarked and numbered the poles and we think??? we have it sorted.

Just need some nice weather this weekend and a site with some space to have our first camping trip with it.

I thought we had to build the whole frame and then pull it over so thats a big help and definitely makes more sense that way.
