The mixer tap on my Pennine Pullman 2006 isnt working. I have contacted Pennine who advise that the particular Reich tap used in older "models" is no longer manufactured. They can supply the new type but you have to bodge it as it isnt a perfect fit. They have suggested trying to source the older model from stockists which leaves me with a phone round but I am wondering if any one on the forum has ever repaired a tap. Almost certyainly the problem is the micro switch. Can they be replaced & if so where do I get one from?

Any one got any tips or advice please

Have you got the tap off? If the micro switch is easily removed,a spare can be got from RS components.

If it is the microswitch it's worth trying a squirt with switch cleaning spray - from somewhere like Maplins or Radio Shack. Don't get it onto any printed circuits, they don't like it. But it has sorted out quite a few sticking microswitches for me.

I had to change the micro switch in the whale single tap on our Challenger this year. It was a very easy job as the switch is just located in a clip which is engaged as you turn the dial but I am not familar with the Reich tap. Best advice I can give you is to take a picture or the actual tap if removed to your nearest caravan dealer and they will sort you out with the correct switch if it can be replaced.

Mine was a universal one not specific to Whale and only cost £2.50 and took 30 secs to fit, I didn't need to remove the tap either which was a bonus.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Guys

Since posting this I have learnt that 1 The taps fitted to the 2006 model are not really designed to allow replacement of the micro switch 2 Its not easy to remove the tap due to its position3 We have a local mobile caravan servicing guy who has an alladins cave of stock & was able to find the exact model to replace our old one.

So problem sorted

Thanks Again

Hi, do you previous users know if the Reich Twist Mixer Tap come with the inlet pipes and connectors that are compaticble with the Pullman? In other words is it a straighfoward like for like fit please?

The Pennine website does not appar to list a similar version.

Thanks.
