Could anybody tell me if its necesary to remove curtains etc when folding up the camper?

Also in the pennine video they travel with bathroom door & kitchen shelf on the middle bed? is this the best way as i would imagine the kitchen unit falling off!!

Thanks for your help, new to fc world!

We always take down the curtains to stop them getting all creased when you fold the sides inwards. My bathroom door lies down the centre of the van, on top of the sink and the sofa cushions etc. Many others have different methods.
Not sure what you mean by the kitchen unit falling off?
Suppose it might depend on the layout. Mine is a 1999.

In the video they show the door being placed on the middle bed running alongside then underneath the end bed when its pushed in. the kitchen shelf is then placed beside it and i was worried it might slide off in transit?

Yes that's where it goes in transit in our crusader. It can't move about though as the bed folds over on top and holds it in place. Everything (should) be level when you are packed up so it isn't as though it could slide off. We put ours at the door side so it is up against the edge of the cupboard too. We use all the fleecy blankets, that we used to use on the airbeds when we camped, to cover everything so the the edges don't get damaged etc.

We take the curtains down that are in the main cabin (on rods). The ones in the bedrooms are left as they are on wires.

We leave the main cabin curtains on the rods and just lie them on the bed, I leave the bedroom ones in place. You pack which ever way suits you, as long as you dont go above the height of the sliding beds you can do it which ever way you want.

Hi, totally agree with pottsy post. when the canvas goes on top, I never had any problems with it sliding around.

Curtains on rods (sides) take down, all the rest leave up.
