This Winter I intended to look for a good trailer on EBay as we simply don't have enough room in the car anymore. A friend called tonight who said their parents are getting rid of an old trailer tent. It's 20+ years old and is called a Combi Camp A.S.
My question is, does anyone have any experience of this trailer tent, and if I took it can the trailer be used or renovated if the tent is removed?
I don't have any experience of that unit, but I would snap it up at that price! Combi Camps are well respected and their web site claims that spares are available however old the unit. If the top is worn out, you could always remove the tent and bed/s and just use it as a trailer.
If it's free I'd take it. Hopefully it will be suitable for you but if it isn't you can always pass it on again through freecycle or even sell it as spares or repair through ebay
It's possible a Combi Camp of that age will still be very usable, with a bit of TLC, if it's been looked after. They are made with good quality canvas.
------------- What light? I'm still looking for the tunnel.
I think you will find your TT has a kitchen unit attached as a tailboard and if this is discarded to convert it into a trailer the nose weight will need adjusting somehow as the axle is well back down the chassis
