We have a folding caravan but not an Esterel. Log onto www.thefoldingcaravanclub.com and I know there are Esterel owners on there.

We have a garage for ours and we tow with a 1600 Kangoo.

We are a friendly lot and there will be some good advice and opinions given.

Our estrele lives out side on the drive infact it as spent the last 12 months erected most of the time through all the snow etc and no problems with no damp etc.

We tow it with a fiat multipla petrol 1.6.

We love our folding caravan but I have an urge to go back to camping -I'm sure it will pass ahah

I keep ours on the front garden. I do cover it up with a tarp when not used for long periods. Keeps it looking good when I uncover it and reduces the risk of damp. I tow with a Focus estate. 1.8. They are a dream to tow. Forget using a stabeliser. Not needed. Infact if it was not for the odd hill and the beep from the indicators one could almost forget it was there!

We're on our second folder, the first being a Dutch canvas-sided 1977 model and our latest being a 1980s Esterel three berth, and we love them.  Both are stored outside and put up with the weather admirably up or folded.  We tow with a 1.5l Nissan Almera and apart from very steep hills, such as some we encountered in the Yorkshire Dales during the summer, our wee car doesn't struggle in the least.  The surprising thing is that we get considerably more miles to the gallon towing on the open road than we expected but then the lower profile means much less drag than a conventional van.
