Other than the manufacturer (and the fact you can have a zig) is the trigano alpha to all intents and purposes a 2 berth combi camp?

http://www.trigano-trailertents.com/alpha%E2%80%93trailer-tents/modele-en-115.html

In which case I wonder how much it is (though we won't be buying next year and need a 4 berth...)

Yes.

£7000.

I may have what will possibly be the first second-hand one in the country available soon, as we are thinking about replacing ours with a folding caravan.

Wow that was a ringing endorsement for Trigano!

Nothing to do with the manufacturer. We have had no problems with the Alpha, but have just decided that something like a Gobur Carousel would probably suit us better than a TT does.

However, it is made by Raclet and is essentially a rehash of the Allegra, which was half the price and had the kitchen indoors where you didn't have to lift it...

Karter we've been looking at the Carousels too - nice but pricey! Which model are you thinking of?

Rivadan, we are thinking about a Slimline 12/2T. Have just been to have poke around in one at the NEC to-day. We both like it.

I think we're going for the wider body. As neither of them will actually fit into our garage and we can tow both, we thought we may as well. They're very nice quality and simple to put up and down so we think it will be a good investment to last us into our retirement (if the day ever comes!).
