And bought a Conway Tardis on ebay for £83!!

Im figuring if the canvas isnt up to much I can still sell it on as a trailer.

On the other hand it might be lovely and just need a bit of work.

Nothing ventured,nothing gained

Wish me luck. I have these moments of madness. Putting it down to an obsession with folding things!!

Kim

If the canvas is rotten for that money it would still be worth getting it replaced or repaired to sell on if you don't want it yourself. If it's not i think you may have got the bargain of the year! good luck, let us know how it turns out!

There isn't that much canvas on the hard tops and TVS will make you a new one.

Wow Kim! That was a fast upgrade! Don't suppose the Alby is now surplus to requirements is it?
Glad he's been in touch - that is definitely a bargain, whatever condition its in

Not on your nelly Cathy!!

Nope sorry the Alby got pride of place in my ever expanding tent pile. Just looking for something to play with....anything to stop me from doing the damned dissertation

Ive had a Coleman Colorado before and that was brill. Felt like someone of Camberwick Green winding up the handle. So who know where my obession with folding things will lead.....

Take care Cathy

Kim

ps You still camping or in hibernation?

Didn't think you would be parting with it yet!
In hibernation at present - going in for a TAH in 4 weeks so getting ready for that and looking forward to planning next years camps 'unencumbered'
Good luck with the dissertation - get on with it!!
xx

Hi Cathy

Good luck with the TAH, hope you feel better soon.

Just read your blog. Was the walk in a book? It looks lovely. Glad I love in Derbyshire, though it does make me wanna got for long walks rather than write!

Take care

Kim

Update time!!!!

Picked up the Tardis today.....and its a bargain!

Well I think so anyway. One have of the canvas is a bit mouldy with a few black marks but think its servicable with the aid of a hosepipe and scrubbing brush. The chap put me some new lights on it and new hookup cable, The steadies and the top went up without a prob. Door fits ok. Just a couple of little tears on the canvas. No obvious leaks. The cooker/sink are nowhere to be seen so theres a  little thing to be sourced. It has inner tents that are going round the washer as we speak. No awning, so thats another purchase. The inside locker need repairing before it can make a bed. Fridge look ok. All zips work. Newish tyres-though need a spare.

Thats all I can report of the half hour that I had to check before it started raining.

Well chuffed!

Yes a risk but i think its a good one

Wow, a little project! With a few pennies spent on it, it will be great

The walk was mentioned on the hotel website, as it's one that can be done from the door so no car involved. I was born in Derbyshire too, so it's also special for me!
