Said good bye to our Camplet Concorde yesterday. Boo Hoo! now my other half has reached eighty he has decided camping is all a bit much for him. Hope her new owners have great fun.
Now we have to look for a small caravan, it will seem small after the space of the Camplet! I have no intention of towing a monster around, probably an Eriba or Fleurette.
I have seen posts on here regarding winter covers and travelling covers etc. We have coped quite well for years with an ordinary tarp well tied down and weghted etc for storing outside, snow, ice, rain, no bother. travelling we spread the tarp on the rack, pile on all the stuff (Chairs, table, crates of beer and wine etc, wrap it all up like a parcel and tie it securely ( at least 6 pieces of rope, so that nothing moves) and off we go. Been doing it for years with previous trailer tents with luggage racks ( and some without!) Anyway I keep looking at the space on the drive where the Camplet used to be and feel sad that a whole era has come to and end.
