Knew I'd find another thing to post about!!

I have noticed on my Pathfinder that the catch that holds the door open twists round & round which makes it a little difficult to unhook the door. I have taken it off and can't see any way of stopping it from twisting, unless something is missing.

Any ideas?

ours sometimes goes round instead of popping in and releasing but think it is all down to the wrist action!

It could be that the door has dropped slightly and this is causing the catch to snag on one side so that it will not "pop out" and twists instead.

I had this happen to me.

The answer was to slacken (slightly) the screws that hold the door hinges to the door part, open the door until it engages with the body pin and centralised, then retighten the screws. The door now pops open no problem.

We had a problem with our door catch spinning a bit. What i noticed was that the outer skin of the door had been pushed in slightly around the catch, i think probably from the door being opened a bit too vigorously and slamming agains the camper. This meant that the door catch would not clamp tightly to the door and lettin git spin

What i did on the end was buy some of those plastic "cups" from B&Q that are for putting under your settee feet (black ones) then i sawed off a thin piece about 3mm thick from the open end. The diameter is just about the same size as the internal part of the door catch surround, removed the door catch and placed this "ring" behind the internal surround bit and then tightened it all up again. Now no more problems and you would never know it had been done.

Hi Billjen,
That's exactly what it looks like has happened to mine. Thanks for the fix tip, I'm off to B&Q....
