We have just bought a secondhand Inesca Marbella trailer tent.

Are there any fellow owners out there to advise on where a couple of the poles go please

Hi, we bought the same trailer tent just before Christmas and it's all pretty straight forward. Which poles are you confused by? The pole with the two swivel ends and four pole clips goes between the frames of the two bedrooms, sort of horizontally to space and brace.

The T shaped pole with the clip at one end and the 3 sided square section forming the T is a roof tensioner for the living area. It clips to the top of the left hand (looking from living area) bedroom frame, you can see where it goes from the different shape in the top of the canvas when it is erected, and extends to the front of the living area roof to provide tension.

Any other questions email stevepj64 at ntlworld.com

Ah - Thanks Steve and/or Laura.  That's exactly what we were confused by.

The bit for between the bedrooms couldn't really go anywhere else - But the red herring was that the 3 sided square section fits snugly over the hinge between the two bedrooms.  We assumed that the two bits worked together somehow.  It seemed too good a fit to be a coincidence so I didn't think to look for anywhere else it might go.

Thanks again

Ben

Hi ive just seen your advice on an inesca Marbella trailer tent and I wonder if you could help me? My tent in sagging and as soon as I let go it folds up by itself!!! I think I am some poles missing? I rigged up two of the awning poles and wedged them diagonally from the trailer to the front of the living space and this worked but I am pretty sure that isn’t right?????

Please can you help

Wendy

Hi Wendy, we no longer have our Marbella but hopefully the following will help.

All the poles on the frame should have spring loaded locking pins in them which engage when you have extended the poles far enough. There should also be some black plastic turn screws that can be tightened for extra security. Once you have the frame up there are four poles, two in each of the bed pods( might be hidden from view by the mattresses) that you lift and lock to hold it all steady. When they are in place the whole tent will stand freely on it's own.

There should be a piece that looks like a capital I with four plastic clips that goes between the frames of the two bedroom pods and then finally there is a T shaped pole that braces the roof of the living area from the top of the two bedroom pods to small section of pole that you use to make the joint in the living area frame when you open the trailer out.

Where abouts in Lancs are you? We are only in Manchester if you need any more help. You didn't buy your tent from Stockport did you, it may be our old one if you did.
