I am considering buying a used Tamais FC which, I believe, is similar to the Trigano Randger 757TC but I like the colour scheme on the Tamaris. However, I can find very little information on them regarding a) How long they were in production? b) when were they discontinued? c) Is there a spares problem are will Trigano spare fit?
Any help will very gratefully recieved
Cheers - Frank

Ive not posted on here for a while! - but I own one that I have had from new in 2007. It has had continued use, and we took it to France last year. Great cheaper alternative to the Pennines.
I have not had any issues with it appart from a electric problem when I first had it.. If you have any questions then let me know, but Raclet UK should be able to help you with any spares, they have supplied bits for me in the past and we bought the camper from them at a exhibition show
Thanks for the replies guys. I put a deposit on a 2006 model at Casey's last Friday. We liked the cheerful colours rather than the sombre Conway/Pennine range. The price was good and the unit almost immaculate. As we have 3 dogs and OH is a smoker (in the tobacco sense only lol) it made no sense going for a new Trigano unit. It seems that Tamaris is no longer on Raclets catalogue but Trigano is the same firm. I was surprised to see that Rapido is also now but specialise in Motorhomes. The other factor which swayed us is the way the toilet door can be used to close off one end to 'en-suite' mode. Keep the mutts of the bedding hee-hee.
Matt, have you used the unit without EHU? Does the water pump run on 12v for 'wild' camping?

Sorry for the late reply!! - Yes we have used it without EHU! - The running water and toilet flush run of the battery + the internal lights.. Obviously you won't have the hot water! - but appart from that it's fine! :-)
FYI: The tamaris is the same design/chasis as the Trigano Randger - so parts should be similar/same!
Thanks for the response. We have now taken delivery of the Tamaris and now eagerly awaiting some decent weather to practice all the setting up/taking down skills for when we take to the road in earnest. We have booke the tunnel crossing for Mid July until Mid August so we're going to be travelling with it for 4 weeks. Can't wait! Still lots of things to get and do.

We did France for 2 weeks last year in ours! - There easy to put up..
Some tips - Putting up!
- get some steps as its a high reach to put the centre bar up!
- Put all awning legs on not extended then pull canvas roof over and zip onto main camper
- Once zipped on both sides you can then raise the legs
- Put the front and side panels on last, but make sure the front window panel with "Raclet" written on it goes on the left side otherwise your awning will appear all creased as they are different sizes!!
Putting down
- Take of awning side panels first (I always keep them off as awaning too heavy to put on otherwise!)
- Folding down.. Watch out when you finally fold the beds down (make sure folded/unfolded it right order!) - ours has a yellow sticker under one of the beds telling you the order to do it
- Also when you put the straps on when the beds folded down, be careful not to put too much strain on 4 gray plastic loops on the sides as they have a tendancy to snap over time! - We had to get replacements from Raclet!
* also you need a ground sheet for the awning *
Towing/storage
- Store awning polls next to side of cooker under centre table/cussions!
- We put our curtains and side panels in the seats
- You can get loads of stuff packed into them!
Hello, We are in the process of buying a 2009 Tamaris. I realise this is an old post but has anybody found out when they were discontinued, allso can you age them. Thanks Phil.
