I have a bit of a slope on my drive and its very awkward trying to reverse my Conway Cardinal up it because of having to reverse around a bit of a corner as well, so something that will take the FC up the drive on its own would be great.

Having just spent £4k on the camper her in doors would go spare if i now said we needed to spend another £700 on a motor mover, so thought that one of the purpleline manual hitch movers may do the job for me.

The slope is 15 ft long and rises about 3ft over that distance, so would this manual hitch mover be sufficiently robust to move the camper up the drive. It weight about 1100kg fully laden.

I suspect not easy to use on that kind of an incline with that weight. We had a lighter unit (about 900kg) and a less steep slope - what I found was that the wheel just couldn't grip enough to push up the slope. It just kept skidding. Our drive is made of paving bricks and isn't greasy or mossy.

In the end I fitted a winch and pulled the unit up the slope, we had a slight bend, but not what you would call a corner to negotiate.

Aye i suspected as much. Have had my eye on some winches on ebay. I can justify the cost of one of those lol
