Anyone have any experience of leaving their TT in France between trips.
I am thinking of taking ours down to Provence when we go on a short break in April on a "Sun £15 Holidays" deal. Then dropping it off to the site we will stay at in July, en route.
As far as I know it will be kept in a secure yard but not under cover, along with the caravans they store for their mainly Dutch customers.
Anyone see any pitfalls with this loose plan of mine ?
Thanks Ian
your a lot braver than me!
when you do storage in the uk you got the piece of mind that if anything goes missing you got the storage company's insurance that will sort you out.
in a different country that could be a different case, especially for yourself because you would be seen as a foreign person.
check all small print IN ENGLISH if your going to do something like this because the last thing you want is to go there expecting a holiday only to find out your tt went missing weeks before!
Good points
I had best check my insurance policy to see if I am covered for storage abroad and also ask the camp site for their insurance cover details (in english).

Our tt lived in France for a good few years with no probs. I t stayed in a friends barn - they lived there all year. But it was covered by our insurance through Towergate Bakers - they had the address in France and knew it was wheel clamped whilst there. The only down side was we had to duplicate our rig for over here - so ended up buying another large tent and trailer for UK use!
