Hi Mike,
I'm 6' 1" and i have a Conway Cruiser Folding Camper and find the bed is plenty big enough for me, and i have recently bought a Conway Cardinal hardtop FC, which is the same size beds.
As Ashwellgirl says, most campsites take TT or FC, even if they dont take tents. FC's are sometime called convertible caravans too.
FC's tend to be easier to put up, we can erect our conway in 10-15mis, although you need to add another 40mis or so if you put up a full size awning. The advantage of FC over a trailer tent is the fact that they have onboard cooker/fridge/sink unit and some have hot water, toilet and full oven.
The TT's have kitchen units but these are generally fixed to the rear of the trailer and then have to be wheeled into the awning, which means you have to put the awning up, whereas with FC's the kichen is internal and you can use the main cabin with out the need for the extra awning.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference, but i would always go for an FC.
Andy.
