I am having real problems getting the wheel trims off and putting them on to my Pennine Pathfinder.

Getting them off without breaking the plastic is almost impossible and putting them on is like betting a quart into a pint pot.

I've tried WD40 and grease on the wire rim but that doesn't seem tp help.

Any ideas before I throw them away and just do without?

Thanks for the replies and ideas.

It rather looks like I will just leave them off altogether. I like to check the wheel nut torque every so often and if the wheel trims are causing me so much bother, well my safety is more important than any cosmetics.

I was really just wondering if other Pathfinder or Crusader owners had come across this problem.

As to Steve McV's quip, well having gone through just about every combination of camping unit before landing this little beauty, I just wish I had found a FC 20 years ago.

Such luxury and space and still towable by a wee car with good mpg, this is camping heaven.

Well as I will be 65 this year and as the folding camper is almost new and as we have in the past had tents, trailer tents, caravans and campervans but our folding camper beats all previous units into a cocked hat, I think it will be a very long time before we sell it.

Indeed, when we do, we will be giving up camping and probably driving, altogether.

But I take your point Steve. Wheel Trims are cosmetic and as such on a pratical unit like an FC, they really are a waste of space.

Lets hope that's a long time Lobey!  Keep on camping

Thanks AndyP, The reason I asked this here was to see if anyone else was having problems with tight or sticking wheel trims on their Pathfinders and if so, what they did about it.

It would appear from the answers so far, that it is only me that is having problems and so, the first time I have the FC jacked up, I will have a closer look at the wheel rims and see if there is anything particular causing my wheel trims to be difficult to remove and replace.
