Just had a small disaster setting up my Cabanon Stratos for first time this season. Pegged down the cab and laid out the ground sheet, then realised the unit was too far forward and was going to be too close to the path. Un-pegged the cab, wound the corner steadies up and dragged the trailer back. Lowered corner steadies, re-pegged cab and set the tent up thinking all was well. My girlfriend was setting up the bedrooms and mentioned that the beds didn't feel right. Looked underneath and found that the bed support legs were bent. Doh!! Never thought about the legs when I was dragging the trailer back! Dumbass!! Anyway I've managed to bend them back into shape and they will be fine to use for now but 2 of the legs could do with replacing. Does anyone know where I could get these??? Any help much appreciated.
well i have never trusted the bed legs and what i do as a safety back up is use other poles as well as the legs.
i went to b&q and got some of those work surface end legs (the silver looking tubes), cut them down about 5 inches smaller than the legs, permanently fix the pole holder to the bed side of the unit and then the bottom bit that goes on the floor, i use wooden blocks to bring it up to height, so if anything should happen to the main legs, te backup legs will always be there.
best to be safe than sorry!
