Hi just bought a 2007 pathfinder .
Got a few questions to ask all you pennine owners if that's ok.
Bought from a dealer with full service.
Question 1 . Do you fold with all linings still attached as dealer sold conways and still thinks it is best to remove even with a pennine.
Question 2. What insurance company do you use for fc.
Question3 .what wheel clamp do you use is it best to let the insurance company to recommend there choice.
Thanks for any help on these matters .
hi mardon 123, i only take the lining/bedrooms and curtains out of the camper over winter when not using, otherwise they all stay in and fold no problem. i use insurancefortrailertents.co.uk, cost abou £120, was cheapest a few years ago when first got it but to be honest i`ve just continued with them without getting more quotes as you should. sorry cant advise on wheel clamp as dont use one, enjoy your pathfiner, its a great camper, regards, gary
yes you can fold with linings attached. You have to take the clips off the strecher bars (the ones you hook into the sides and also travel when folded down across the middle of the camper but otherwise I leave all attached. If you ever do a wet pack (taking down in rain) you would need to drop down all linings in order to protect them under the wet pack sheets but otherwise leave all up. the bedroom pod curtains stay attached too.
I use Insurance for Holiday homes and have just renewed for the year at £80
Use a hitch lock rather than wheel clamp as we keep the camper in our garage and have no room to fit down the side.
insurance for holidayhomes is the same company as insurance fortrailertents, out of interest andcow what year camper have you got as your quote is a lot cheaper than mine, oh just realised yours is garaged that would explain it
We are insured with insurancefortrailertents too. They don't insist on a wheel clamp, but we've got a centurion one, (from ebay for about £6, Bargain!) but you will have to be careful if you've got alloy wheels. We have put an old towel between the wheel trim and clamp. We fold lining down too, but you must remember to strap your bedding down with the transit straps before folding the beds up.
Insurance for Trailer Tents do not cover all of Europe! OK if staying west side but not all east EC countries are covered. I eventually went with C&CC to get the cover for Poland, CZ and SK for my travels this tear. An extra 60 quid but worth it for peace of mind.

2003 and yes the garage does make a difference I think. When we went to buy the FC we were not expecting it to fit in our garage until we saw where the old owner kept his! We did have to remove the bike/carrier rails attached to get through the garage door though as they added about an inch too much to the width.

I was not aware of this but not planning on East Europe at the mo.
Thanks very much for the quick replies , got an insurance quote £120 As we need to keep fc at a friends farm to start with until I extend the garage.
Good to now about taking out the insides when folding wet.
Don't plan to go to Europe this year uk will do fine for our first time also have 9 month old baby no passport yet!!
Looking forward to our first outing hopefully if 3/4 weeks time after that I am sure I will have a list of things to bend your ears on and more handy tips .
Thanks again Martin
We've just recently bought a Folding Camper, Pennine Fiesta 1997. After nearly losing the whole thing after it nearly running away down the drive this morning, my priority first thing in the morning is to arrange insurance for it!!
Do you guys know what the insurance covers exactly? I would've been crying like a baby if that had crashed into the wall today. We payed £1700 for it but we're not THAT well off and wouldn't have been in the position to buy another one if it did get wrote off. Would insurance cover for things like this do you know?
