Hi all,

Just a bit of fun this ...

We had our maiden flight in our Pathfinder and we have to say that we loved it. Here's a timelapse of us putting it up. Video

Have a good laugh... !

I am impressed that was really good for a first go and it looks tighter than ours looks after a year of using it!

I see you manage to fold down the travel cover as it should be, we never have that bit right.

I also see that you had the sides down and then realised you needed to fit the side bars, we too did that first time camping.

You did not show the pain that is levelling but then you may not have needed to worry on that pitch.

Your little helpers seemed to enjoy it too.  Two of my nephews fight to help us with some parts of the set up when we are camping with them too.  They both want to remove the elastic sides for the cover, fit the elastic under the bed areas and now do the aqua roll too but then there are a little older than your kiddies and we don't always get to camp with them and their parents.

Your next challenge will be the awning, or have you already done it?

From 2009  the conway crusader platinium uses the same technique as the pathfinder, fold out beds rather than slide out. the new fabric does away with several of the poles you need to put in on the older canvas model.

Its so easy to do, 20 mins tops from un hook to kettle on

I would think the new pennine quartz units will be the same.

If you do an awning video then please put it on youtube!!

There are no awning instructionals on youtube as hubby and I found out. We know how to put the awning up now, but took quite a while to get it right the 1 st time

Was fun to watch, hope you have many years of fun in your pathfinder

That was great! Thank you for letting us watch it. It makes for very interesting viewing. that really wasn't bad, especially for a first time. Agree with the others about the awning, though.

Coloured tape for coding the poles is a must.  We were lucky as several caravaners came over to help us with our awning the first time we put it up and they brought different tapes to help us code for next time. (we did not know them but after jokes from my m-i-l about watching the entertainment and jokes from her son (my OH)- about watching his mother pole dance how could they not get involved!!!)
