I know I could take them with me in the car but that would cause me stress while abroad...
I know people keep an eye out...
but how do you overcome the issue
Cheers Trisha

we Have left our tv and laptop in our folding camper while we have gone out for the day have never had any problems on campsites I think there is always someone who will notice if a stranger is hanging around
I wouldn't worry about a TV but a laptop is more expensive and contains a lot more personal stuff so we keep ours in the car when out and about. A car with lock, alarm and immobiliser is a darn sight more secure than a canvas TT or FC. We always keep all our valuables in the car when out of the tent, including things like passports and money.
When I returned from Africa with my daughter, we did'nt leave anything of value at the acmpsites, but when we were surfing I had one set of car keys and cash hung round my kneck and a spare one well hid in the trailer.
Still worried slightly about the laptop in the car...also the heat did it not good...did not last long once back in the cooler isles of home in the uk.
And a Kensington lock is? will google it.

Most people who are going to try stealing anything on a campsite will be "opportunist" thieves.
So a steel box bolted to the floor under a bench seat and using coach bolts, big enough to take your valuables and with a hefty padlock on it, will deter anyone but thee most determind thief.

We would never leave anything of value, be that financial or sentimental, in the FC.
If I cannot lock it up in the car, then I leave it at home.
The thought of leaving something of value in the FC and then worrying about it all day does not make for a very relaxing holiday.
you should never leave anything personal on a computer full stop ,i would rather worry about it in use than sitting in your car.usually its not what's in your car more what a thief thinks is in it ,it takes less than a second to smash a window and he wont care if there's nothing in it other than the wasted time.
you car is safe depending on where you park it more than if anything's in it
For small amounts of data, get a dropbox account. It's free for 2GB and you can just chuck anything you can't be without but can't bear to lose into "the cloud" (assuming you've internet connectivity, though I think it works on iPhone/'Droid smartphones)
