Hi just wandered if any one has any knowledge on Raclet Flores Trailer Tents.

We have been after a trailer tent for a while then "this" popped up in front of us at what we think a very good price. but being excitable and not being able to collect until next week i just wanted to know a little about.

ebay link

Does anyone know the model number from looking at the pics?

i have searched google all afternoon with no luck :o( i have come accros Raclet Flores 230, 380 and 480. it doesn't look like these all i get from the listing is made in the 1980's so i'm presuming must be an earlier model than thos listed??? (i have no Knowlege so please excuse my ignorance if wrong!)

Thanks in advance of any advice or help

Teresa

Don't know anything about Raclets but you could ask the seller what model it is maybe.

will be collecting on wednesday, we have a 24ft tourer but found we dont nip out for the weekend as often becouse of the effort to get it out of the garden and off the drive etc so we thought we would down size. we have 3 girls so it still looks a fair size, we tried a few months with a VW T25 Camper but was far too cramped and felt like we were all sleeping on top of each other.

Very excited to be trying this one as i have never been in one let alone slept in one.

Thanks for your interest i'll message the chap and see if he knows. I'm glad you think it was a bargain too

The Flores was for many years Raclet's standard "Basic" model.

The tent you have just bought is, technically, not a Flores. It is a Raclet 606. It is identical to the Flores except it has let down steadies on 2 legs instead of wind-downs all round. Also, the canvas is a different colour. It was frequently sold in the UK as a Flores.

They are absolutely fabulous tents with a lot to recommend them. Yours is similar to the Flores 230 - the smallest one. It is an absolutely ideal starter TT and - assuming the canvas is still good - is an absolute steal at £200. Well done!

Let me know if you need instructions for putting it up and I will email some over.

Charlie

I'm pleased to see retro colours coming back in the tents and some TT's.

I have gone completely retro with my FC, bought all retro melaware, tupperware and stuff, use a whistling kettle (hurrah to ditching the abysmally slow low wattage travel kettle!) and play retro games with my daughter, i still love the 'popomatic' dice on Frustration!

It's been great fun scouring ebay and charity shops, mainly cheaper than buying 'the latest gear' and made camping even more fun. A major vote for 'going retro' from me!

Sounds fab clairehope.  I have one of these from when I was little and thought of you when you said you love the 'popomatic' dice in Frustration.  Here is one for sale on ebay......

I smiled when I read what was written about Frustration.

When we were away this recent half term my kids discovered a couple of magnetic board games in our Pathfinder - left there by a previous owner. They thought I'd bought them and thanked me for the great new games.

What were they?

Ludo and Snakes & Ladders!
