The awning we've seen is the Riviera Rapide. There may be an issue with the sides, but I think I will be able to sort that out myself if necessary, as I am fairly handy with a sewing machine. I just thought it would be simpler and less hassle for TVS to do the zip attachment for us.

they did ours very well.  I can't sew anyway but you would need a strong needle to get through the material for adding the zip.

My sewing machine does take thicker materials, and I have some heavy duty needles, but I think it would struggle with adding the zip. Adding a dart, if needed, would be OK, I think.

That is just about the same as the one we are doing The colours are the same but the one we are using has got better specs i.e HH water repelency. slightly bigger and it is on special at the moment from World of Camping. It`s a Sunncamp Swift XL.Here is a link cost you nothing to look. The colour goes very well with the Countrymans.Again the sides would need altering above the doors.Cheers.Alex

Crikey, that's identical - as if it's made by the same company and just rebranded.

I've been investigating water repellancy, and it seems that 2500mm is adequate for normal rainy conditions - I think you'd need to be in a monsoon to need 4000mm!

We're going up to Riversway Leisure this week to pick it up, and then taking it straight to TVS for the zip to be attached. I will have to wait and see regarding the side alterations.

Are you sending yours to TVS?

And why the change from the one you had before?

Hi.When we bought the other one we had a Pennine Fiesta ( blue one ) the same colour as the porch awning when we got the Countryman we tried it and it fits perfectly there is a picture of it now in my gallery. The new one is smaller and the colours match better than the blue and that is the only reason for changing otherwise the blue one works great and is much easier than the original awning. We are doing the adjustments ourselves.Cheers.Alex

After fitting our new awning and finding that the sides were sagging and trying to work out how much material would need removing. I have decided that I am not going to go ahead with it.Too much material would need removing and I think it would look out of shape.Going back to what I have said to others about Lisa`a awnings she does all the trial runs with the awnings that she adapts so you can be sure that they will fit.Hence I am now going to get in touch with her regarding another suitable awning and just cut my loses and resell the one that i was going to adapt.Cheers.Alex

Not been on for a while, so only just seen your latest post.

We went ahead and bought the Riviera Rapide. Even got it at a knock-down price as they had a batch of them with marks on from the factory. Took it to TVS and had the zip attached, although looking at the thickness of the material I'm sure my machine would have coped with it.

I now have to work out how much to take in at the sides, as we haven't had chance to attach it to the camper yet, but I don't think it will be too much of a problem. I hope not, anyway! If it doesn't work at least it didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Hi.I tried a few other places about the alterations to the side one told me he would`t touch them he had had too many leaking problems with them and that settled it for me others just wernt interested and they were all the companies mentioned on this site you just need to make sure that any joints are waterproof good luck.Cheers.Alex
