Hi All,

Well my partner and i have just bought a Cabanon Manga L TT, and i was wondering what you fellow Cabanon TT owners thoughts are on them as i cant find any reviews on them.

This is our first TT so we are going to have a test run of putting it up in the garden next weekend, eek! i'm sure it will be great fun!

I look forward to hearing some reviews from fellow Cabanon owners.

Many thanks.

Still looking for reviews on Cabanon TT's, and if you have a Manga that would be great, but just after Cabanon reviews really.

Thanks!

My personal view - I own one. The beds are are let down from the foam construction of earlier Conway build - they use some type of sheet wadding. This is very hard. The bed boards and locker tops are made from green mdf (the water resistant type). In my case the bed boards are now marine ply, and I have replaced mattress and cushions with reflex foam.
I have owned this type of trailer tent this the 1980s, I like the design and believe it's is a good design. Racletcharlie would call it antique design. The improvements from my last Conway model:

Ventilation in the bed cabin is much improved with the addition of side vents. The wind up steadies are much better than the drop down pole screw locks used on Conway's and Sunncamp's.

The canvas, well as ever the Cabanon canvas has always received top reviews, they used to make the Conway canvas.

So a mixed bag, but still great.

See all the people in the camping under canvas forum that rave over canvas tents and Cabanon ones are a sought out manufacturer. There are also many old Conway trailer tent owners on this forum. So welcome to the fold.

PS I think not having the kitchen is a great move, slightly less space but a lot more flexible.

Hi,

We bought a New Cabanon Mercury last year and so far we think it is fab. The quality of the unit seems great - so much better than any of the tents we've previously owned. We've been in it in some cold/wet weather and it's been lovely and dry and very warm. My son (9) stayed in one of the underbed tents last weekend in the new forest and absolutely loved having his own 'den'. I'm not an expert by any means but so far i think Cabanon as a brand are fantastic and good firends of ours have just bought a Cabanon Neptune.

Thanks Guys!

We have now been out in our TT as we went to Silverstone for the F1 Grand Prix and it was a wet windy weekend! we loved it! everyones tents were blowing about and leaking and we didn't have a single problem. The canvas is fantastic! wow, we were so impressed. we slept like babies, the beds are firm, but we are used to a firm bed at home, so this wasnt an issue. So much room and i love the ZIG so we didnt have any draughts and the fact the beds are off the ground meant we had a good and WARM nights sleep, i actually slept the whole night without waking... coming from a tent i was always awake in the stupid hours cold and needing the ladies room!

And it is soo easy to erect! i was amazed, i was expecting myself and hubby to be, to have a few arguments as we always did when erecting the tent, but no... not at all, we enjoyed putting it up

As we bought this on the spur of the moment, i am so glad we did! we actually went down to our local camping centre (Attwoolls) to buy 2 camping pillows... And we came out buying a brand new trailer tent!! work that one out! Haha.

Towing - Well i dont drive so i'm taking the other halfs word on this, he said it was easy to tow, you didnt know it was there until you got to a hill, and even then it wasn't a problem. (Didn't stop me Panicking though)

We were going to keep our tent for short weekends, but as its so easy to erect, we decided that we no longer need it! Trailer Tenters all the way now.

Thanks for your info guys, i'm very proud to be part of the TT fold!

Hi leanne

We are considering a Manga...just wondered if you are still impressed. We have a Biscaya tent which is all season polyester and keeps out everything. How do you find the cotton canvas?
