Hello Fellow campers.
Just bought a second hand sun canopy for a camplet royal.
But there are no instructions. Has anyone fitted one of these before?
Any tips / advice much appreciated.

Basha

Not put my sun canopy on yet but surely it's just zip it on to the roof, stand up some poles and a couple of guy ropes?  (hope it is anyway!)

Hi,
Yes that's what i am hoping for too, but i was thinking that the small stub poles that form the pelmet on the awning would need to be left off to allow the large poles from the canopy to be fitted.
But i guess i will have to figure out when i next go camping.

Kate W is spot on - it is for the Concorde anyway!  I'm sure it will all become apparent when you do it!

The royal is a bit different because it has an apex. I'm sure it will be fairly straight forward once you get started though!

All the best,

we didnt get instructions when we got our canopy from new!not good for the price.after 15 mins we realised we didnt need he stubb poles on the apex, the canopy frame fixes straight into their poles on the main frame.it was first time of trying so will know better next time.dont know whats best to do in what order yet as took some assembling even though theres only a couple of poles.it really needs 2 to put it up and,as far as we know you need to put the canopy on as you put up the front not later.

Hi Guys.
Thanks for all your replies. Got these instructions emailed from the lads at camperlands hope they can help.

BASICS OF ERECTING THE SUN CANOPY.

Lower the main awning frame.(remove the 2 x awning legs)
Remove the 3 x stub canopy poles.
Remove the 2 x poles in the front sleeves of the awning.
Zip the canopy onto the awning.
Fold the canopy canvas onto the roof of the awning.
Push the awning frame out as normal and re fit the 2 x legs inside the awning.
Connect the 3 x main sun canopy poles into the cabin.
Assemble the 3 x angles and connect the 2 x legs.
Fold the canopy canvas over the frame.
Slide the 2 x poles into the sun canopy and connect these 2 poles into the 3 x angles.
Tension the canopy frame.
Peg and guy out.

Be careful in windy condition whilst erecting and dismantling and even consider not using in adverse weather as per your C1 form..
