how long do you need is 10 mtrs enough or is it best to get 25 mtrs

10 metres is too short and most so called tent EHU leads that only supply 10 metres are not properly protected and are just household extension leads.

Most bona fide tent hook ups are 20 metres so bearing in mind a couple of metres usually stays inside the tent then 20 metres from the outside plug of a caravan should be plenty in most cases.

You will sometimes find that won't be long enough but this is rare and in most cases where this happens the campsite is aware and will lend or hire you an extension lead. Usually if you need an extra long lead it will say so in the campsite literature.

If you are using it in a tent then it should have an RCD fitted,the campsite RCD's are frequently time delayed and won't operate within the specified time for personal protection.

You don't want to  hang on to 30mA for longer than necessary unless you like pain!
