We are currently looking at purchasing our first FC at the end of the summer (when the prices will be better ) and are currently looking at the Conway Crusader or similar Pennine models.

We have done some searching on the web this weekend to see what sites charge what rates for FC's and noticed some say no folding campers on their sites...but allow tents / caravans!

Is this that common and is there many restrictions on booking pitches for a FC? We just want to check before going ahead as prefer a FC over a caravan as we could store this at home.

I had a running email conversation with this site and a man called frank. he is amazed it actually said that, I was able to give him the address of campsite-yorkshire and he has got onto them as he has seen it for himself.

It was the directory advertising  the sites around Yorkshire that was at fault as when you see there own campsite it says nothing of the sort.

So I will pass his thanks on as if you had not raised the post nobody would of known, neither would they be able to right the wrong.

I wonder how many have looked an closed the website because of it. Bad business for them to lose  custom. So he has said thanks for the info he has got back onto the web site to deal with it and petty quickly as the mail was coming through form hi thick & fast afterwards. Of course had to inform him where I got the info from our ukcampsite.co.uk after all it should be shouted out for all to find it.

 

We've just got back - it's a lovely site, nicely laid out, very clean and tidy and they are very accomodating, giving us the option of grass or hardstanding. We've had a really nice time.

Just going to post in the review section, but worth a visit - it is a bit windy though!

I came across this problem today on www.campsites-uk/search. I selected the region that I wanted to search and 20 campsites came up. Then I selected the folding camper icon, and 0 came up!!!

Annie if you cannot find somewhere I may be able to fit you in our postage stamp size garden in between the shed & our fc is that okay. Resonabel rent can even give you hookup but not emptying of toilet although we do have a drain hole outside the back door
