I'm looking at the rallies with interest but can't get any information on them without joining up as a member. But I don't know if I want to join up as a member until I know if we'll want to go on the rallies. So there's my problem.

Can anyone let me know what the costs are? Are they similar prices to CCC rallies/THS? The two I'm interested in are Ringwood and Fordingbridge. And do they have toilets there as we're not all in posh Crusaders!

If you look on the Conway Owners Org uk  and scroll down the home page, you will see the list on the left that says, rallies. scroll over this and it enlarges into calendar. click this. and then read the list of rallies. where you see Ringwood and Fordingbridge there is the name of the site where the rally is to be held in light blue, to the right. click this it will take you to the sites webpage. hope this helps.

I.E.  Shamba holidays and Sandy Balls.

Hi Chica, the prices are very good, and as i have never been on CCC rally i can't say if they are similar.

The marshalls are always there to meet and greet and plenty of other around to help you pitch if you need it. There are activities/competitions organised for those that want to join in, and i have only been on 2 CoC rallies so far but have been well impressed with the organisation and fun to be had. They are a great crowd and always make everyone feel welcome.

As for toilets, there are normally all the facilities you need including EHU. Prices are below the normal site costs. Worth joining the club, we have not regretted doing it.

I am a member of CoC. Havent been to a rally yet cos not certain it's 'for me'. Having read the above I think I should give it a try. Are there lots of children? I am perfectly happy to potter around my camper and be with my dogs, especially if I know my daughter is having a great time.  There seem to be lots of rallies listed for my local group and the prices are generally good, I think I also need to go and be a bit sociable - there's lots I need to learn about looking after my camper and I would love to see what others have done in theirs.

I have found the help and advice on the CoC site excellent - reading it has saved me from several serious errors I am pretty certain I would have made otherwise!

We went with the Conway Owners Club to Merley & Shamba, having never attended a rally before.  The Southern group are a lively bunch & soon make you feel very welcome!. I think the cost was about £14 per night. The children get together immediately and you are offered a cuppa while you're setting up. On the first night there is a general get together so that you can meet new & old friends, and then on Saturday the stewards usually organise some kind of family entertainment.  You can join in or not without offending anyone. My husband wasn't keen on the children constantly coming into our unit & I think this put him off going again. Also, they go to the same places each year & we had lots of other sites to try so we didn't renew our membership. My biggest disappointment was the number of members who came in caravans - I imagined wall-to-wall Conways

I think its a great way to enjoy cheap camping and make new friends and as they use sites with full facilities they should suit you very well.

Conway Owners Club do not kick people out if they convert to a tin box from a canvas TT it maintains the mebership levels. But it also means when you attend a rally there are people in tin boxes that used to have Conways. I have a ;76 Conway and a Cabanon Galaxy TT the old Conway has to go but I will remain in the Conway club
