Hi,

i am thinking about buying a sun canopy for the cruiser I have just bought.

But cant find any pics of the camper with just the canopy.

Does anyone have any or know where I can view some pictures??

i do have one,and must say don't much see the point(nor did any of the other owners as the thing is brand new at 20 years old)the trouble is there are just as many poles as with the main awning.so by the time you get it up you may aswell put the awning up!also it only goes on the camper and not on the front of the awning.

Oh! I had imagined it being slightly less time consuming. So now not sure what to do! Would still like to see picture somewhere. Wonder if there are any other options, if I didn't want to put whole awning up, but just wanted an extra bit of covered area . Tarp rigged up somehow? ?

sorry can not help with the pic as have never fitted it,maybe pic's of it on the conway owners site.as you can download brochures on there,and i'm sure there are pictures of the canopy on the early 90's campers.

Have you tried looking at www.conwayowners.org.uk.  You might find a photo there.

I wanted to have the same for our Pennine Fiesta we use the unit only no awnign for the reason it is hard for Bob to get up on his own. I cannot help him much in a wheelchair. So a canopy would of been great to keep the sun off as that is why I wanted it, I get prickly hear from the sun so need shade but outside not inside if possible. I was wondering why it could nto just be a long zip ona sheet of canvas with  not so heavy poles somehow attached to the ends of the unit poles. So it just comes out and pegged. I have the picture in mind but not idea about how to do it

I have made sun canopies for both my FCs - I have some instructions below (hope they make sense) of how I made them from 2 material gazebo side walls joined in the middle.  Eyelets along both long edges - one with guy ropes attached which we tied to the camper or the awning - the other side was where we used extending poles which had spikes on the top and were guyed out.

As you can see, it did sag a little in the middle, but I put an extra guy on the side to enable the rain to run off!
