Hi all,
New to the tt world and have just ordered a trigano express from Camperlands Manchester. Has anyone got any thoughts on good/bad points, cant seem to find any info on them from internet and was hoping you good people have?
We pick up the tt in a couple of weeks and were planning to stop on the way home to Scotland, anyone got any thoughts on campsites not that far from the main drag worth visiting for one night?
Thanks in advance, cant wait for the big day hehe. M&L
we have stayed at Lowther a couple of times just off roundabout on A66 at Penrith,5 mins off M6 and found it great but, reviews recent have differed!Has pub on site but NOT rowdy sort.Lots of nice places to eat in Penrith especially The General Wolf.Good roads all the way to the site too.Quite a big site but small touring area but dont know if you need something with less facilities for 1 night?
Thanks for that. We were looking at a site called Park Foot... anybody been there? We thought Penrith was probably a good bet, we stopped off there on the way down this weekend.
have friends who go there so we had a drive around last year.seems ok,nice view of lake but have heard pub is noisy, and pitches seemed"rough" and sloping for our liking.Pooley Bridge is very small but pretty has a couple of pubs and tourist shops and and camping/outdoor type shop, and antiques shop in old hall. You can walk to PB from the site but the roads are very narrow and have no lighting so beware. My choice for same price would be Lowther just for the acess.Theres lots of other cheaper sites around if only for the night.
