Hi All,

Just wondered how you all go about heating a tent if you don't have 230v handy?

Thanks,

Ash

We use a black cat or blue cat heater as it is now (gas heater).

Is that safe in terms of C/M?

We don't have a heater in our tent but use a Tilley lamp for our lighting, which provides both light and heat. We use this regardless of whether we have an electric supply or not. It does get extremely hot so has to be used with great care, especially if there are small children round, but keeps us lovely and toasty whenever we're camping.

Absolutely with a bit of common sense, they are made for camping. Just don't leave it on untended, and have some ventilation.
See Thread for a thread on similar.

to be extra safe with a gas heater just take a carbon monoxide detecter with you (less than a tenner now)and follow the above.
