Im in both clubs and find them both as good as each other. Sometimes the C.C. has a site in the place we want to go to and sometimes the C & C.C. is nearer the place we want to be. The C & CC usually takes a deposit whereas the C.C. often dosen't which, if its before pay day, I can still book a site. Other than that Ive found them to be as good as each other. Some people feel more comfortable with more tenty structures around them but its never bothered us.

Hope it helps.

Pitch fees are pretty much the same - we're in both. CC&C take a deposit, CC don't. Both offer website booking, I find CC&C slightly better to use as you can pick what kind of a pitch you want. CC you get what's available on the day.

Caravan Club you tend to get left alone as by evening everyone's in their 'van watching the telly. The main interest is caravans so unless you've got the latest model people leave you alone.

Caravan and Camping Club is more 'lively' and sociable. People talk to one another more. So you get more folk sat outside laughing at night, but to be fair by 11pm it's usually very quiet as per site rules.

CC & CC&C facilities are pretty similar - both vary from site to site, some are better than others.

When I'm feeling antisocial CC suits me most. When I feel a bit more friendly then CC&C.

I'm a member of both clubs and use the club sites on both. I've never found C&CC club sites to be any more sociable than the CC. The fees seem very similar, but it might vary dependant on your family group. CC sites are predominantly filled with white boxes but the wardens are friendly and the facilities are generally a bit better.

Nobody appears to have mentioned that in the CCC if you're over 50 the price is considerably cheaper.

I just spent 3 nights on the Beadnel Bay site in Northumberland...£12.50

....toilets, showers, wash up facilities all included....and in high season.

....you'd be lucky to find a CL in the Caravan Club for that money.

I am in both too. I think my C&CC membership was slightly cheaper, but there's little in it, for less than £4 a month each I find it gives all the flexibility I want. When funds are low (most of the time then!) I stay on smaller CS & CL sites often very close to home, off to a C&CC CS that's only 9 miles away this weekend! For our main holiday it's usually a club site, partly beccause my daughter is an only child and there are more other children for her to play with.

Despite my somewhat antique tardis I have only ever received positive interest from other campers in either club. I had heard tales of likely snobbery from CC club members about my humble unit. I have found none at all. I am a single mum and always receive kind offers of help from other campers with both clubs, which I accept with gratitude. I am very happy to be solitary, but feel with both clubs if I do want company I will be able to find friendly pleasant people to pass time with. If you want/need to pick one, I would think about what kind of camping you want to do most and where, then go with the one that has the higher number of the right sites for you in the right place for you.

I hope that's some help

One of the things I like about the Camping and Caravan Club is their Temporary Holiday Sites, I have been for the second year running with my 2 children to their THS on the Hendra camp site at Newquay. No electricity but at only £13 a night on a full facilities site a bargain, with showers and toilets on the rally field. See my profile to see my Cardinal at the site.

We are also members of both and have used both our concessions and THS's.

Having spent hundreds, if not thousands of pounds on a folding camper so that we have freedom of choice on where we choose to go our holidays, we certainly would not like to be tied to only one club's sites.

There are 3 bands Low Medium and High.

Generally, If the children are on holiday from school it's the high band and you pay per person.

Also, unlike the caravan club, the camping club allow you not to have electricity, if you then choose to have electricity you pay more.
