I have recently bought one of the newer crusaders with the acrylic awning,or in my case not,ha ha.

The previous owner cut the awning roof away and misplaced it,I have all the zip out panels and the poles, but not the roof section,I have conatacted pennine to ask if they could supply the roof panel, but they didn't want to know and insisted on selling me a full awning for £1300!,they were not very helpfull at all.

I have looked at getting a porch awning to fit my crusader,an adapted one with a zip fitted, has anyone had one made for the newer type crusader?

STill trying to obtain an awning, been in touch with pennine, who told me to contact isabella direct, and they told me to contact pennine!

Pennine want to sell me a complete awning, but i only need the roof section,i have got all the zip in panels and poles.

Pennine insist they can only sell me a new awning £1350, so this makes me wonder how owners would go on if they damage one zip out panel ,would they need to purchase a new full awning?

Try TVS http://www.tentvaletingservices.co.uk/  they can normally make just what you require

Ian&jo have just posted how happy they are with the service they got http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=10&TopicID=262514&PagePosition=1

I was going to suggest TVS too and having used them to adapt a porch awning, I can definitely recommend them too.

Since you only need part of the awning they may be able to make that and use the bits you already have too or alternatively they may be able to do one from scratch for you at less price than Pennine though I can understand why pennine won't or can't sell you just roof parts.

i have spoken to graham at tvs about making the roof section,he has the material to do so,but doesen't have a template to work from,if he had it would be no problem.

Graham made me a porch awing to fit, suncamp swift xl,total cost including awning £150,have used it all summer and its been great, but next year we plan to do a lot more camping so looking to use a full awning.

Had a email from pennine, isabella forwarded my email onto them and they now say they can supply the roof section that i need,£800+£15 delivery, considering a full awning with lightweight poles is £1350,it seems a tad expensive, but i may now go for a full awning, then graham would have a template and could make me a roof section, then i would have 2 complete awnings,i could then maybe sell one and recoup some money back.

No,didn't adjust anything, just had a zip sewn to it,although i did have it fitted slightly to one side so it covered the camper window and the external plug socket was on the inside of the awning,i just took my camper upto tvs and one of the girls there positioned the awning ,marked it and sewn the zip on ,took about 15 mins, very pleased with it,i leave it attached all the time and it takes about 10 mins to set up.

I would go for a slightly wider porch awning next time ,then it could be fitted in the middle instead of slightly to one side.
