we had exactly the same problem on our pathfinder bathroom sink. Not sure if they are the same but in the end we had to use a knife to split the glue holding the two parts together and then prise open. For cosmetic sake we worked the knife on the back section as this cant be seen when attached and that bit seemed to be just enough to widen a hole big enough for a small hand to get in.
We did have to remove from the wall to be able to work the back part open.
We then put back together as is and it seems ok. It did make a bit of a mess of the plastic but nothing that can be seen now it is back up and we could not find any other way of doing this despite appealing on here.
