i am upgrading from tent to trailer tent for next year and so i have to fit a tow bar to my car. can i get away with single electrics for the trailer or do i need something more complicated.

Single electrics is all you need if you don't need fridge or battery charging.

the second plug not only charges in transit it also operates the reversing lights should your unit be fittted with them.
