hi, just bought one of these on ebay. probably going to be asking lots of questions on here, so thanks in advance.
First question is does the fold out kitchen area part of the awning have to be assembled, or can the awning be used without the "push out" part?

It is part of the awning. It is also the wardrobe/storage/toilet space as well.  We use that area for extra kitchen space with a folding kitchen unit.

The roof linings take a while to work out. Have fun.

Mattyg,

i have the 400se and the kitchen area does need to be assembled as its gives you somewhere to keep the cooker, food and other bits and bobs you dont want laying around in the awning.

If on a pitch with a max width of 5m, such as club pitch, can you leave the pushout not pushed out, or is this not an option?

The kitchen/wardrobe section needs to be erected with the poles otherwise you will not get the correct tensions on the awning.

If you didn`t get any instructions on how to erect your 400SE let me know.
