Don't laugh......but it took us 4 hours to put up our Pullman awning. We had no instructions therefore had no idea what we were doing, plus I was nearly knocked unconscious by the center post at one point! But I refused to give in. I have now ordered some bayonet parts from pennine (so we won't have to use gaffer tape again) and have marked each pole, so I'm confident I can do it in 30 minutes next time.
Can anyone advise me if the cream flap around the bottom of the awning should be secured on the inside or outside? We thought inside but another camper said they should go outside.
We too had no instructions and after much huff'in and a couple of hours later it was up.We then quickly labelled the poles so they made more sense the next time.
The easiest way ive found of putting the awning up is by zipping on the awning, then connect together the front poles and lay them down, next connect the roof poles to the camper.
Then get under the awning and prob help is needed, but you can pick the front part up in one piece and connect the roof poles to it, and normally it'll stand on its own for there on in.
A friend also gave us a tip about the flaps and pegs, they said loosely put up the awning but dont yet tension the upright poles. pegs down the side then tension the upright so the canvas is tought and the rain would run off it onto the floor with a small gap between the floor and bottom of the canvas, about an inch or so.
everyone has a different way of doing things, i dont know if mine is right when done as everyones elses awning always looks different lol
