Hi

Have been looking at trailer tents to replace my montana 6 but have hit one obstacle.

Whereas with just one king sized bed in my tent we have lots of room for one to go for the large amount of toilet visits old age brings with a trailer tent it seems the person sleeping on the inside has to climb over the other to get out.

Is there no trailer tent available with just one bed and access both sides please help.

not sure how you mean here.  Many tts have double beds either side of the middle passage and I think on some at least you can sleep sideways so you scoot out at the bottom rather than stepping over each other.

This is a Jamet Jemetic Classic as an example and clearly shows how you sleep so that your feet are at the end of the exit rather than side on.

The sun camps seem to work this way too and the comanche tts,  not sure about the combi camps but think some may lie the way you need them too to.

Combi-Camp have a set up where you climb in from the bottom. But you're right, most of them involve one person having to climb over the other! Rubbish design for those of us who have to get up in the night!

We are just moving to a Raclet Solena which has 'sideways' sleeping, having previously used tents with 'end-on' inners. In practice, we found in the tent that getting off the airbed and trying to unzip the inner door invariably disturbed the other person anyway, so we're not bothered by the thought of one having to move out of the way to let the other out.

It'll probably be me on the outside anyway!

Richard

The Trigano Olympe has the beds where you get in from the ends. They are high though,as you get in from the awning part but a little step solves that problem.

We sleep lengthways in our Comanche Montana, but if you slept the "proper" way, you wouldn't have to disturb the other person.  It looks like there's a gap between the two sleeping areas but there's not in ours - just a couple of pieces of fabric to roll up.

Camplet, Jamet Jametic, Trigano Odyssee, and Trigano Olympe all have end entry beds. Some of the Combi Camps do as well. End entry has its own drawbacks though, you have to shuffle down the bed to get out, and some are quite high off the ground.

We've only had the end entry variety, so I've never thought about it before!

Is there just the two of you? If there is why not each have a double pod to yourselves? Then when either of you needs the loo you are not disturbing the other.
Me and dh love not sleeping together because sleep doesn't often come into it when we are laying in the same bed lol.
He snores, i kick, he takes all the covers, i take all the covers etc.
