Why not go along to your local carpet store get an offcut and cut it to size, it would not cost a lot...

Hi David,

Unfortunately its a bit of a pain to do! You need to look at the tent manufacturers websites and find a tent with a similar living area, I would concentrate on the big tunnel tents.

Remember though it doesn't need to be wall to wall. You probably don't want it extending under the kitchen, and if you use storage units at the side it doesn't really need to go under them. Plus if it goes right to the door it will get wet and muddy. We bought ours to be undersized in our Camplet, so it really is quite small in the Jametic, but its still very comfortable.

All the best,
Alison

Hi David,

For our Olympe we bought a purpose made awning floor covering. It's effectively a breathable groundsheet made of a soft synthetic material with small holes in it that prevent water and sand/grit from gathering on it. We found it comfy and warm enough to walk barefoot on it. After your camping trip you can just wash it down with a hose or pressure washer.

They generally come in the standard awning width of 2.50m and in a variety of lengths though they can easily be cut to fit.

One brand I know of in the UK is Eco Mat which is sold by many camping/caravan dealers.

Jan.

This looks like the type we have http://www.camping-online.co.uk/ground-sheets/breathable-ground-sheets/softex-breathable-groundsheet-2-5m-width.html.

We put it on our combi's hardfloor, it's lovely soft and warm. Also we discovered it's good even when it's been muddy (we're not a shoes off tent, nor home) and when any dirt dries it falls through the holes so isn't gritty underfoot. When you pack up you just brush underneath. Also if it got very dirty just pop it over the washing line and hose down. Our local camping shop had it on big reels and cut you a piece off.

This is a close weave breathable groundsheet available in blue and is 4m x 2.5m which is nearly the size you want.

There are also many more alternatives on that site that might suit.
