Can someone who has the Olympe with a Trigano made luggage rack please help me out.

I am trying to establish the approximate height of the underside of the rack from the top edge of the trailer (not top of the beds as this can vary).

Reason being that we are thinking of getting the rack primarily for bikes but as we currently load our chairs on top of the trailer I want to see if there would still be sufficient clearance for these with the rack attached.

Any help much appreciated.

We have what you are asking about. We use our rack for 3 bikes and body boards. On top of the beds we carry 2 Lafuma highback chairs, the ZIG and a couple of other small things. There is still a few millimetres to spare beneath the rack when it's all on. You will find that the trailer cover gets some black marks on it because the cover a rack rub slightly in transit, but these marks will wipe off.
Hope this helps.

Many thanks for that info. We carry approx twice as much as you on top of the trailer so I suspect we would be struggling to fit this in with the rack on top.

I have come across a TT dealer in Germany who is selling a Trigano fit rack that appears to be adjustable to 4 heights. I'll contact them next week and if it really does give a bigger clearance for the stuff on top then it might be what we're looking for.
