Just a little rant about the TOTAL lack of customer service I have received from Pennine this year. They are just not interested in the problems I have had with my Conway Crusader, ignore e mails and in short are not very customer orientated, at least with me! I even wrote to the managing directer, who didn't even bother to acknowledge my letter. Not a good advert for after sales at all, unless you are about to or just have, bought one of their expensive all weather folders. Am even considering going over to the dark side and getting a sardine tin instead...
Am I right in thinking that they close down for a couple of weeks during the summer? Might explain why they haven't responded. Mind you, when I emailed them a couple of times the replies I got were very brief & unhelpful.
Sorry to answer in there favour, but at easter on my way back from Swanage we stopped for a break and discovered the catch for the battery box had broken & the door was flapping in the breaze so I phoned Pennine to ask if it was available,7 days later it arrived free of charge. Can't get better than that can you.
------------- If it ain't broke don't try to fix it!
My recent experience is very positive. Spoke to them direct, with their sales manager calling me after leaving an on line message on thier website.
Told him the problem and within a few days had a replacement sent first class with no cost to me. Also offered me the opportunity to take the unit to their base to rectify any other problems.
So to balance out the complaints of the original post, all I can say is that they did themselves proud in dealing with my issue. Can't ask for more than that.
I rang them once to ask how to tie the front panel up on our new to us Pullman 535, the girl id not know and made no attempt to find out either, I was not impressed.
Well, up until now customer service was good...when our camper was under a year old. Now it's over a year old they don't want to know. I wouldn't mind but a reply would have been nice :-( Not over impressed with build quality to be honest, but perhaps I'm expecting too much having only owned tents before now...
my experience with them has been excellent , after buying a fiesta seccond hand 1990 model i needed instructions for the awning and wanted to buy plastic connectors for inside cabin cetral pole , a few days later i received all in post with no charge , i cant fault the customer service .
hmmm i suppose it depends who you get through to ,i wanted a new roof lining for my 92 pullman and they were recently selling some off in there sale .my initial e/mail got a quick response of no nothing will fit .i however followed it up with another e/mail with more specific details and received a phone call from there sales dept and the girl went and asked someone who obviously knew what they were at ,and we had it two days later .they really do need someone there to answer the phone properly though .i hate the idea of leaving a message and waiting for a return call that they do
i have had the opposite,i bought a cover for my pathfinder, had a problem with it,so emailed pennine.they rang me back the next day with a fix to the problem, couldn't fault them at all
