Hello all...
Wonder if anyone can be of help...Just made an impulse buy of a Esterel 34T...Too good a bargain to pass up and I was finding the dandy too much to erect on my own..anyway my question is this: mains electric is fitted and also 12volts
but I see that the 12volts is run through an inverter so is only available when connected to the mains ...seeing as I do some fairly basic camping I would like to fit a battery to provide power when mains is not available...is this possible and has anyone done it?? would it need a new circuit or can I tap into the existing one?
Thanks..Stewart

Hi, my rapido export matic is the same 240v in, 12v from transformer! iv only 3 things run of 12v water pump and 2 internal lights, iv a solar panel I stick on roof that's connected to a normal car battery, then the battery has a lead of it with a small 2pin plug on it (the one with slightly twisted pins) that I plug into a spare 12v plug socket in the kitchen area, this feeds 12v into the system when not hooked up!! Probably not wise to do when hooked up?? Probably just charge the battery!!
