tis extremely simple .erect the main camper ,then zip on your awning to it .throw/fold awning canvas back over roof of camper (i find a small pair of steps helps in this even though i,m 6'2" ) next erect awning frame as per your diagram .then gently pull canvas over frame roughly adjust height and tension on framework and peg down .
probably takes longer to type this than to actually do it .don't forget when erecting both camper and awning to ensure all zips are closed to avoid over tensioning fabric .
SIMPLES

great stuff...the sterling is a 2005..next dry day i will open her up to see if poles are the same as the diagram...i am new to a folding camper, i have been a caravan man in the past, but lack of space on the drive and a larger family makes the fc a good choice....

Hi I would suggest when you have the awning erected colour coding poles with insulation tape will make it much easier and quicker in the future, if you need a diagram I have the pullman awning I could email you the instructions.

We have just bought a Pennine Sterling and took it out for the first time last weekend.  It took us ahem... over two hours to put up the awning.  The shame!  Fortunately we were the only folk on the campsite so it could have been worse acting out our frustrations in front of other campers.

The problem we had with ours was that the hooks on the roof tension poles had come out so for a long time we could not get the poles to resemble anything that was in the diagram.

We erected the poles first and them pulled the canvas over the poles and zipped it up.

Once we got the hang of it - it was simple!

I have now ordered spare hooks from the Pennine website and would endorse the earlier suggestion of colour coding the poles once erected.  We are off in ours again this weekend armed with different coloured insulation tape.

We hope you like the FC as much as we do!
