HI everyone

  I read somewhere on here that you can tell the age of a folding camper by looking at the "plate" my question is :-- where is the plate located and how do you read it to get the age of the folding camper?

Hi there if it's a pennine or conway then you look at the chassis number, this is located on a plate either on the A frame with the rear entry models ( doors on the back ) or on the chassis just under the door on the side entry ones,look at the last two digits of the chassis number this indicates the year EG F0000087 would be a 87 model, this only applies to pennine or conways, don't know what method others use though.

Also if its a Conway you an tell by the canvas colour

Thats the same with the Pennines, you can narrow it down to a two year period depending upon the canvas colour and the curtains/inners inside

hi the plate will be about somewhere but if its missing i would be very wary buying it

Of course,canvas can be changed,so it's not perfect. Browsing through Ebay to find similar is another not perfect method.Cutting it in half to count the rings might work!
